What is Invisalign?

Have you ever wished for straighter teeth, but quite unsure if you can live it having metal braces in your mouth? Aside from strictly required doctor visits, conventional metal braces have some trade-offs with comfort and lifestyle. People wearing braces know they are restricted to eat most of their favorite food and limit them to play their favorite extreme sports.

That’s why Invisalign is the clear alternative to braces! Invisalign is removable, transparent and painless.  Invisalign does not alter lifestyle nor limit you from eating whatever you want. You will be allowed to be as you are, except with a more improved smile and perfect teeth!

How easy can you get Invisalign done?

1. You should be first evaluated by a certified Invisalign dentist. It also makes a difference when the dentist of your choice comes from a dental team with high Invisalign clinical experience. This first step is so important as to get a proper treatment plan that addresses your concerns fully and commit to your desired outcome. Choosing the right doctor is crucial to your treatment’s success!

*Doing Invisalign will require you for Orthodontic records such as x-rays, photos and intra-oral 3D scan by Itero(no more gooey molds!).

2. After getting your treatment plan, information will be rendered into a 3D via software called “Clincheck”. Clincheck displays a visual simulation of your treatment progress from start to end. This will show you the target position, desired outcome and even calculates how long the whole treatment would be for. Your Clincheck 3D plan will be ready for your viewing and approval in approximately 3 weeks.

3. Invisalign is manufactured from the Invisalign lab in the US. This would take another 3- 4 weeks for all Invisalign providers to receive the orders in their practice. Once your Invisalign is ready, you will be invited for a visit to wear your first Invisalign aligners.

4. Once you take your first aligner, your dentist will let you know the next steps ahead such as the next appointments, instructions to be expected and so on. 3 steps are never difficult to get the perfect smile!

5. After finishing your treatment, your dentist will put you in a retention period where you will need to wear clear retainers to keep your teeth in shape.
